WinRAR is an archive program that creates archive files in the RAR format. If you download a RAR file for a program, movie, or anything else, you want be able to use any files inside of the RAR such as the EXE files for installing the program until you "unzip" the WinRAR file and play it with the WinRAR program.

Download and install WinRAR (see Resources). The program is completely free to use.

Click S"tart" in Windows and then click on the folder where your WinRAR files are located, such as "My Downloads."

Right-click on the file. Select "Extract here" this plays the WinRAR and extracts anything inside of it, placing it in the same folder where the WinRAR file is.
