WinRAR is an archive software that allows you to zip files. Zipping a
file compresses it, saving storage space and allowing you to easily move
the file around your computer. Although you create zip files using
WinRAR, you can extract the files and open them with WinZip. WinZip is
the default zipping software installed on most Windows-based computer
systems.
Instructions
-
-
Launch WinZip. If you don't have it, you can download a free trial at
WinZip.com (click on the link in the Resource section).
-
2
Click-and-drag the zip file created by WinRAR into the main viewing area of the WinZip program.
-
3
Choose an extraction point by opening the "Save to" location
at the bottom of the program window. You can have the file extracted to
any location on your computer.
-
4
Click on "UnZip," and WinZip extracts the compressed file
into the save location you chose. Find the file, and double-click on the
file to open and access the content.
