Those who enjoy watching videos on their iPads wish that they could watch those same videos on their TV. For iPad owners who also own an Apple TV, this is not so much a dream as it is a reality. The iPad and Apple TV are capable of communicating with each other using a feature known as AirPlay. Any music, photos or videos you can view on your iPad can be shared with and viewed wirelessly on your Apple TV, as well.

     Turn your TV and your Apple TV device on.

     Ensure that your Apple TV and your iPad are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

     View photos, listen to music or play movies in your preferred app on your iPad. Please note that your app must support AirPlay. You can determine if an app does by reading its description in the App Store.

     Tap the icon that looks like a rectangle with a triangle at the bottom. This displays the AirPlay menu.

     Tap the "Apple TV" option. Your iPad media will begin playing on your TV through your Apple TV device.
