How to Uninstall WinZip RAR

Both WinZip and WinRAR are archive utilities that you can use to compress and extract archived files. The WinZip application creates the proprietary Zip format, and WinRAR creates archives in the RAR format. If you no longer want these programs installed on your computer, you can remove them from within the Programs and Features component.

Instructions

1. • Click "Start." Type "Uninstall a Program" in the Start Search box, and press "Enter." This opens the Programs and Features component.

     Right-click "WinZip," and click "Uninstall." Click the "Yes" button on the confirmation dialog box to proceed with the automated removal process.

     Right-click "WinRAR," and click "Uninstall." Click the "Yes" button on the confirmation dialog box to proceed with the automated removal process.

     Close the Programs and Features window, and restart your computer.
